The Kawartha Woodturners Guild was founded by a group of eight hobby turners in 1995. The Guild has since grown to an annual membership of 110 plus members. Our membership consists of the first time novice up to the professional gallery turners from the Peterborough, Apsley, Omemee, Lindsay, Oshawa, and surrounding areas.

Other Club Activities

The KWG also participates in community events such as the Festival of Trees fundraiser, where we have donated a tree decorated with hand turned ornaments. The tree is then auctioned off and the proceeds are donated to the local Hospital Foundations.  The Guild has also participated in demonstrations and displays at the Peterborough Library,  Autumn Treasures, Riverside Arts and Crafts Festival , Lang Century Village and the Art Gallery of Peterborough.
